Pizza Dough Making

The cornerstone of any great pizza is the dough, and every great pizza starts with a superb pizza crust. Some people prefer a thin, crisp pizza crust, while others prefer a thick, soft crust. This homemade pizza crust has it all: it's soft and chewy on the inside, crisp on the outside, and bursting with flavor.

The same basic ingredients are used in all pizza doughs: wheat, yeast, water, salt, and olive oil.

Directions

  • By hand, or with a hand-held or stand mixer, combine the dough ingredients.
  • Knead the dough by hand or with your mixer.
  • Place the dough in a greased mixing bowl, cover securely, and place in the refrigerator to rise for 90 minutes or overnight.
  • To expel air bubbles in the dough, punch it down. Divide by two.
  • Make a 12-inch circle out of the dough. Cover and let aside while you prepare the toppings for the pizza.
  • Add your favorite pizza toppings to the top.
  • Pizza should only be baked for around 15 minutes at a fairly high temperature.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon chili oil or sunflower oil
  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless (cut into 1/2-inch pieces)
  • 1 teaspoon peeled root ginger
  • 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 2 tomatoes or 5 tablespoon pasta sauce (chopped and blended)
  • 1 tablespoon chili-garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • a quarter teaspoon of chili powder
  • 12 inch diameter ready-made pizza 30g red onion, sliced grated cheddar cheese
  • a small handful chopped fresh coriander leaves

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  • In a frying pan or wok, heat the oil over medium heat. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes after adding the chicken.

  • Add the garlic and ginger and stir to combine for a few minutes. Combine the spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, and soy sauce in a mixing bowl. Add the chili powder and stir to mix.
  • Using a spatula, spread the combination onto the pizza base. Add the cheese and onion and combine well.
  • Bake for ten minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted. Serve hot
